We talk to Dr. David Décary-Hetu, associate professor at the University of Montreal about the Dark web, how and why it is that we do research, gathering data with web crawlers and scrapers such as the DataCrypto tool David worked to develop and the complex problem of how to share research outcomes in a way that is both engaging and responsible in the modern era. Dr. James joins us again to answer one of my silly questions about digital forensics. I asked what happens when investigators encounters an encrypted phone or device.
